Business License

The City of Woodland Community Development Department issues and renews business licenses.  

To apply for a new business license, download the application (PDF) and deliver it in person or through the mail to the Community Development Department, City Hall, 300 First Street between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday - Wednesday -  Friday & 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday - Thursday.  If you have questions regarding obtaining a business license, please call our office at (530) 661-5820.

Your business may require site inspections by the Fire, Building, and/or Police Departments as well as Yolo Solano Air Quality Management District and Yolo County Environmental Health Department Agencies as part of your application approval, depending on your business type and/or if you are making improvements to a building.

Sellers Permits Reminder

From the California State Board of Equalization: Effective January 1, 2013, the State of California mandates that the City include specific ADA information on our Business License forms. The State also requires Cities collect an additional $4 fee.
