On Monday morning between the hours of 6:30 and 8:30 Woodland Fire crews responded to six outdoor fires in a two-mile radius of intersections of West Street and Main Street. The fires were vegetation in nature and were intentionally set by an arsonist. The 4th fire at 115 Main Street was threatening the building and a 1st alarm commercial assignment was dispatched. Units from Willow Oak, UC Davis and Davis fire responded to assist with the fire and station coverage. The fire at 115 Main Street was extinguished with only damage to the exterior paint and the sign on the front of the business.
Woodland PD is assisting with the investigation and is working towards an arrest
