The Woodland Police Department is excited to announce a new technology platform they have started using called SpidrTech. SpidrTech is a customer service platform designed for use with law enforcement. Through the use of the SpidrTech platform, the Woodland Police Department is able to enhance customer service by providing text message updates to reporting parties regarding police response time, case numbers, assigned officer’s names and case updates.
One-to-one text messages are not used for all types of crimes, to include reports of domestic violence, in order to ensure the reporting party’s safety. Text messages are triggered based on call type and information inputted into our Records Management System (RMS) and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System. We hope that the SpidrTech platform text messages will add to the quality customer service being provided by the Woodland Police Department.
