In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the City of Woodland is sponsoring the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Essay and Visual Art Contest for K-12 students. Local students from Woodland schools are encouraged to participate. The contest theme is "Leadership and Service." Students are asked to reflect on the qualities of leadership and service that Dr. King exemplified and how they can apply those qualities to their own lives.
