Full Closure of Main Street at Eastern City Limit:
Beginning on June 15th Main Street (AKA: County Road 22) will be closed to traffic just to the east of the Walgreens warehouse. The road will be closed for approximately 4 weeks. This closure is related to the City’s North Regional Pond and Pump Station Project, CIP 17-21. During this time, the contractor will be installing a new 48” diameter storm drainage force main across the road, removing the existing storm drainage pipe, demolishing the existing defunct pump station, filling a portion of the South Canal, replace the existing guardrail and reconstruct the roadway. At times there will be a crane in the roadway to assist with the boring & jacking of the 48” diameter pipe beneath the railroad on the north side of County Road 22.
