Six Arrested During Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Enforcement Campaign

Woodland Police Department arrested six drivers on suspicion of DUI from Aug. 21 through the Labor Day Weekend (Sept. 7).

So far this year, Woodland Police Department has investigated eight DUI collisions that killed two people and injured nine others.

Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license and possible jail time.

Woodland Police Department reminds the public that impaired driving is not just from alcohol. Marijuana, illicit drugs, even prescription and over-the-counter medications, can impair and result in a DUI.

Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
