On Monday, January 15, roughly 100 volunteers participated in the Martin Luther King Jr. National Day of Service at Woodland's East Beamer Neighborhood Campus. The City of Woodland, along with partners Fourth & Hope and Friends of the Mission, hosted volunteers of all ages to help plant, paint, and clean up the campus, which includes a permanent supportive housing community, an emergency shelter, a community center, and a forthcoming substance use treatment facility.
The project partners thank All Seasons Paint and Product Services, owned and operated by John and Laura Carminati, for their generous paint donation, as well as UC Davis School of Law for their outstanding volunteerism. We appreciate all of the volunteers' efforts to honor Dr. King's legacy of service and activism.
