City Invites Woodlanders to Serve on Boards, Commissions, & Committees

The City of Woodland invites interested community members to participate in the process of local government by serving on one of several boards, commissions, and committees.

The City values public involvement in Woodland’s decision-making process. Boards and commissions are a vital component of effective engagement, providing input on key issues and promoting representation of our diverse community.  

Make a difference in your community by getting involved. Appointments are for three- or four-year terms. Candidates are invited to apply for positions in seven advisory bodies:

Boards

Library Board and Personnel Board

Commissions: 

Commission on Aging, Manufactured Home Fair Practices Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and Planning Commission

Committees:

Sustainability Advisory Committee

All positions are voluntary and appointed by the City Council.  The time commitment for each board or commission varies. Some meet on a regular schedule, while others meet on an on-call basis.  

            APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 24, 2024

            APPOINTMENT: June 18, 2024 City Council Meeting

            APPOINTMENT EFFECTIVE: July 1, 2024
