The Woodland Public Library invites you to a free, all-ages Halloween party for the whole family! On Friday, October 24 from 6-8 PM, join the library for Library After Dark: Screeching Strings & Spooky Things.
The party will feature a live candlelight concert by “730 Strings” as well as a haunted library ghost tour from Nor.Caps! Be sure to dress in costume for added spooky fun. If you’re lucky, you may even meet Frankenstein’s monster!
Activities for all ages include:
- Candlelight Concert at the Carnegie: A gothic candlelit quartet performed by 730 Strings from the Sac Institute for Music and the Arts.
- The Craft Crypt: A haunted bookmark bar and UV bead bracelet making.
- Haunted Photo Booth: Be sure to come in costume for group photo opportunities.
- Spooky Zine Fest: Make your own Halloween zine.
- Leake Room Lair: Potion making, pumpkin painting, and trick or treat bag making.
- Bewitched Brews and Bites: Grab a cozy bite to eat and a spooky witch’s brew mocktail to sip upon.
- Booooo-kmobile: Creepy touch-and-feel boxes and free books to take home.
- Frightful Stacks: Take a scary walk-through amongst the halls of the Carnegie (jump scares optional!).
- Movie Madness: Come watch “Coraline” in the secret courtyard.
- Mysteries of the Mezzanine: Haunted library ghost tour… Enter if you dare.
All are welcome to join the Woodland Public Library for a night of free books, tricks, and treats!
