Join Hundreds of Woodlanders in Composting Their Food Scraps

When food and yard waste break down in a landfill, they produce methane—a powerful greenhouse gas and major contributor to climate change.

To help fight this, California passed Senate Bill 1383, which requires everyone to compost food scraps and other compostable materials instead of sending them to the landfill. The goal? Keep organic waste out of the trash and cut methane emissions.

Many of your neighbors, local businesses, and multifamily properties are already making it work—and you can too.

Join us in taking action against climate change!

 Visit EnviroWoodland.org/SB1383 for more information.

Stop Leaks Before They Drain Your Wallet

Even small leaks—like a dripping faucet or a running toilet—can waste hundreds, even thousands, of gallons of water each year. Not only does that add to your utility bill, but it also strains our community’s water resources.

The good news? You don’t have to wait until you get a high bill to spot a problem. With the City’s AquaHawk program, you can monitor your water use hour by hour and get alerts for unusual spikes that may indicate a leak. This makes it easy to catch issues early—before they become costly surprises.

Sign up for free at Cityofwoodland.gov/MyWaterUse and take control of your water use today!
