The Woodland Public Library invites you to a free, all-ages Halloween party for the whole family! On Friday, October 24 from 6-8 PM, join the library for Library After Dark: Screeching Strings & Spooky Things.

The party will feature a live candlelight concert by “730 Strings” as well as a haunted library ghost tour from Nor.Caps! Be sure to dress in costume for added spooky fun. If you’re lucky, you may even meet Frankenstein’s monster!

Activities for all ages include:

  • Candlelight Concert at the Carnegie: A gothic candlelit quartet performed by 730 Strings from the Sac Institute for Music and the Arts.
  • The Craft Crypt: A haunted bookmark bar and UV bead bracelet making.
  • Haunted Photo Booth: Be sure to come in costume for group photo opportunities.
  • Spooky Zine Fest: Make your own Halloween zine.
  • Leake Room Lair: Potion making, pumpkin painting, and trick or treat bag making.
  • Bewitched Brews and Bites: Grab a cozy bite to eat and a spooky witch’s brew mocktail to sip upon.
  • Booooo-kmobile: Creepy touch-and-feel boxes and free books to take home.
  • Frightful Stacks: Take a scary walk-through amongst the halls of the Carnegie (jump scares optional!).
  • Movie Madness: Come watch “Coraline” in the secret courtyard.
  • Mysteries of the Mezzanine: Haunted library ghost tour… Enter if you dare.
