Woodland to Host Independence Day Celebration July 3 & 4

The City invites you to Woodland’s 2025 Independence Day Celebration, a two-day event filled with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, and patriotic festivities on July 3rd and 4th.

All are invited to participate in the events beginning Thursday evening, July 3, and continuing through Friday afternoon. Hosting the annual fireworks display on July 3 will help our public safety partners respond more quickly and effectively throughout the Independence Day weekend, keeping Woodland safer for all.


Thursday, July 3 – Fireworks Celebration

  • Woodland High School Stadium | 21 N. West St
  • Gates open at 7 PM | Fireworks around 9:15 PM

The celebration kicks off at Woodland High School Stadium with an evening of entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display, including:

  • Pre-show activities featuring inflatables and Rec2Go games
  • Food from Las Brasas and Sno Shack 
  • An Honor Guard ceremony conducted by the American Legion Yolo Post 77 
  • National Anthem sung by Yolo County 2024 Vocal Showcase winner Katherine Berdovskiy
  • Fireworks show at approximately 9:15 PM
  • Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on the grass
  • Personal fireworks, alcohol, glass containers, and pets are prohibited

 

Friday, July 4 – Full Day of Community Events

Pancake Breakfast

The Woodland Professional Firefighters Association hosts the annual Pancake Breakfast. Proceeds benefit Woodland Fire Volunteer Support Branch. More information is available at www.WPFA4029.org

  • $5 per person
  • Children ages 5 and under eat free


Bike Parade & Party in the Park

  • Parade meets at Heritage Plaza | Departs at 10 AM
    1. Bike decorating begins at 9 AM
    2. Registration for decorating contest from 9 to 9:45 AM
  • Party in the Park at Freeman Park | After parade until 12 PM

Our annual parade will begin at Heritage Plaza at 10 AM and proceed down Main Street to Freeman Park. Party in the Park will feature:

  • Live music by New Harmony Jazz
  • Bounce houses and games
  • Free snow cones courtesy of Thompson’s Heating and Air


Ice Cream Social

Woodland Senior Center Inc. hosts an Ice Cream Social for all to cool off and enjoy.

  • $2.00 per ice cream
  • Enjoy music, dancing, and a raffle


Swim Fest

Dive in, cool off, and try our floating inflatable obstacle course. Admission is free!
