3. City of Woodland Sound Amplification Permit Application
   The City of Woodland Municipal Code Section 9.28.090 requires any person who broadcast from a radio, phonograph or similar instrument, using voice or sound amplifiers, either into a public thoroughfare from a fixed location, from a movable vehicle or in connection with any public celebration or public function on public holidays or in connection with the broadcast of events of interest to the general public to first obtain a sound permit from the police department. A sound permit is not required for private gatherings occurring at a private residence where the amplified sound is not being broadcast onto a public thoroughfare. If your event, as described in the City of Woodland Municipal Code Section 9.28.090, requires a sound amplification permit, please complete the following online application. The application will be reviewed and you will be contacted with the outcome.

   The City of Woodland Municipal Code Section 9.28.180 permits sound amplification within a city park only if a permit has been obtained through the City of Woodland Community Services Department - (530) 661-2000.

    I/We agree to abide by all conditions set forth by the Woodland Police Department. I/We also agree that this permit is effective only on the date and the time specified; that either the applicant or the alternate person in charge shall be present at the event at all times specified; that, notwithstanding issuance of the permit, the sound shall be kept at a level which reasonably can be heard by persons in attendance while at the same time minimizing sound beyond the immediate area of the event; that notwithstanding issuance of the permit, the applicant and the alternate person in charge personally shall be responsible for complying with directions given by police personnel; or any other person authorized by the City Manager and further such direction may include, but shall not be limited to, reducing or eliminating the sound or reducing the number of hours for permitted emission of the sound.
