**2026 Civic Fellowship Program Applications Will Open Early March**

Program Overview

The City of Woodland Civic Fellowship Program is an 8-week paid summer fellowship program for individuals early in their careers seeking public service experience. This program invests in our local workforce and fosters passion for careers in the public sector. During the eight-week program, fellows will work within a city department and participate in program-wide activities.

2026 Program Timeline 

  • Early March - Application opens
  • April 10 (5pm) - Application closes
  • May 7 - Interviews
  • End of May - Notifications sent
  • June 22 - Program starts
  • August 14 - Program ends
  • August 18 - Civic Fellows present accomplishments at City Council

Eligibility Requirements

  • High school graduate
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Some departments may require work experience and/or possession of a valid CA driver's license (see specific job requirements on CalOpps)
  • Must demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in the public sector
  • Local Woodland knowledge is preferred
