Biography
Lieutenant Danzl joined the United States Marine Corps as a Reservist after graduating from high school in 1992. She then attended the Sacramento Police Academy, class of 98BR2 in the fall of 1998. Lt. Danzl began her law enforcement career with the Sacramento Police Department. She then moved to Connecticut, where she worked as professional staff for the Manchester Police Department from 2000 to 2001.
After returning to California, she was hired by the Woodland Police Department in July 2001 and worked as a Patrol Officer until August of 2005 when she transferred to be a School Resource Officer. In June of 2009, she returned to patrol and was appointed to Corporal in the Fall of 2009. Lt. Danzl promoted to Sergeant in February of 2011. In September of 2020, Lt. Danzl became the Community Relations Sergeant. As the Community Relations Sergeant, Lt. Danzl served as the Public Information Officer.
Throughout her career she has supervised Honor Guard, patrol teams, HOST and Crime Prevention. She was also a member of the Crisis Negotiations Team. Lt. Danzl has her POST Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Supervisory certificates. She is a graduate from Frontline Leadership, Sherman Block Institute, and the FBI National Academy.
Lt. Danzl was promoted to Lieutenant in May 2023.
Education
Lt. Danzl earned her Associate of Arts degree from Sacramento Community College and her Bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice from Columbia Southern University.
