NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS GIVEN HEREWITH that the City of Woodland City Council, at its regularly scheduled meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, 300 First Street, City Hall, Woodland, CA, will hold the following public hearing:
Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) Ordinance Updates: At its January 21, 2025 meeting, the City Council will receive and consider amendments to the Woodland Municipal Code, Zoning Ordinance pertaining to Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) and Junior Accessory Dwelling Units (JADUs) to comply with recent changes in state law, specifically AB 2533 pertaining to unpermitted ADUs and JADUs, and SB 1211 pertaining to replacement parking requirements and multifamily ADUs.
Following the public hearing, the City Council will be asked to adopt an Ordinance amending Woodland Municipal Code, Zoning Ordinance Chapter 17.84.030 (Accessory Dwelling Units).

Environmental Determination: Staff has determined that the adoption of the proposed ordinance amendments are statutorily exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) under Public Resources Code Section 21080.17.
Planning Commission Recommendation: At its December 19, 2024, meeting, the Woodland Planning Commission voted 6-0, with one member absent, to recommend City Council approval of the proposed amendments to Woodland Municipal Code, Zoning Ordinance Chapter 17.84.030 (Accessory Dwelling Units).
Availability of Documents: The City Council agenda and project staff report will be available on the City of Woodland website on January 17, 2025, by 5:00 PM at the following web address: https://www.cityofwoodland.gov/654/Meetings-Agendas.
Public Comments: All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing and express their opinions. Forms to express opposition or support for the project are available from the Community Development Department. All comments received will be given to the City Council for their consideration. Please note that the City does not transcribe its hearings, however, summary minutes are prepared and are publicly available once approved by the hearing body. Members of the public are welcome to submit written comments prior to the meeting. Comments should be submitted by email to CouncilMeetings@cityofwoodland.gov. Written Comments received at least two (2) hours prior to the scheduled start time of the City Council meeting will be provided to the City Council and posted to the City website as part of the official record of the meeting but will not be read into the record. Written Comments received within two (2) hours of the scheduled start time of the City Council meeting and during the City Council meeting will be provided to the City Council the day following the City Council meeting. If you are submitting written comments on a particular item on the agenda, please identify the agenda item number and letter.
Pursuant to section 65009 (b) (2), the State Government Code: “If you challenge any of the above projects in court, you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing(s) described in this notice or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to, this public hearing.”
