CITY OF WOODLAND
ORDINANCE NO. 1728
SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOODLAND AMENDING SECTION 15.16.200 OF CHAPTER 15.16 OF THE WOODLAND MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF COMPLIANCE WITH THE CITY’S AFFORDABLE HOUSING REQUIREMENTS
At a meeting of the City Council of the City of Woodland held on December 17, 2024, the Ordinance as described below was considered for adoption.
The proposed ordinance would add a new subparagraph D. to Section 15.16.200 of the Woodland Municipal Code, which describes the alternatives to on-site construction of affordable units under the requirements of the City’s Affordable Housing Ordinance. The new subsection D. allows that a developer may receive credit on a unit-for-unit basis toward the requirements of the Affordable Housing Ordinance for the development of off-site affordable units either by the developer, or pursuant to an agreement between the developer and a third party affordable housing developer that contemplates that the off-site units will be credited toward developer’s affordable housing obligations.
