SUMMARY OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WOODLAND AMENDING WOODLAND MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 16 “SUBDIVISIONS” SECTION 16.08.020, 16.12.010, 16.12.020, AND ADDING NEW SECTION 16.12.025 REGARDING SMALL-LOT SUBDIVISIONS
At a meeting of City Council of the City of Woodland to be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the City Council Chambers, 300 First Street, City Hall, Woodland, CA, the Ordinance as described below will be considered for adoption:
At a noticed public hearing on May 20, 2025, the City Council voted to introduce an Ordinance amending Woodland Municipal Code Title 16 “Subdivisions” Section 16.08.020, 16.12.010, 16.12.020 and adding new Section 16.12.025 regarding Small-Lot Subdivisions. The proposed Ordinance clarifies definitions and application procedures for the City’s ministerial review of small-lot subdivisions that meet certain criteria. These updates are consistent with the 2035 General Plan and will bring the Municipal Code into compliance with State Housing Law and the Map Act.
A full copy of the proposed Ordinance is on file in the office of the City Clerk, 300 First Street, Woodland, CA. Should these be adopted by the City Council at the above-mentioned meeting, the Ordinance shall become effective 30 days following such passage.
